The headteacher at a school in Suffolk has stepped down just a few days before the new academic year begins.
Stowmarket High School will start the new term with an interim headteacher in charge after Dave Lee-Allan left his position after eight years.
He was appointed in 2015, overseeing change and managing through the Covid pandemic.
Craig Morrison, CEO of Waveney Valley Academies Trust which oversees Stowmarket High School, said: "We'd like to thank Mr Lee-Allan for eight years of dedicated service to Stowmarket High School.
"During this time, he oversaw many positive changes, including the major project of moving the school into a new building against the backdrop of the pandemic.
"We are pleased to welcome Ms Lucie Hernandez as Interim Headteacher, initially for the next two terms.
"Ms Hernandez comes to us following a very successful tenure as Deputy Head of Barnhill School, a high-achieving academy in West London.
"The Trust plans to advertise for the school’s next permanent headteacher in the Spring Term."
