The chef behind a popular pub kitchen in Norwich is making waves after expanding into a Suffolk seaside town.

Geoff Mayers, whose family comes from Barbados and Trinidad, runs Norwich Soul Kitchen, which is permanently based at The Last Pub Standing.

He has now expanded the Soul Kitchen brand by taking on a kiosk at street food venue East Point Pavilion in Lowestoft, which opened in June 2022.

In Lowestoft, Soul Kitchen serves classic Caribbean dishes, such as goat curry or jerk honey chicken wings, and others with a British seaside twist, including salt and pepper squid-loaded fries.

Mr Mayers said: "East Point Pavilion contacted us a couple of months ago as they wanted something different.

"I use my family recipes and secret marinades and seasonings - there is nothing else like this in the local area.

"I have been super happy with the reaction so far - Lowestoft's food scene is ready to pop."

Soul Kitchen is at the East Point Pavilion from Wednesday to Sunday from 12noon.
