A former Apprentice favourite and social media star has heaped praise on a Suffolk business after trying one of its brownies.
When Keelan Waldock saw that Tom Skinner, formerly on The Apprentice, was trading in Bury St Edmunds market on Wednesday, he saw it as the perfect opportunity to go along and take some brownies.
Mr Waldock is the founder of Bwownies, a brownie company that originated in Sudbury, and now has a spot at Suffolk Food Hall near Ipswich.
He said: "I saw that he was in Bury St Edmunds, so I thought I would drive over and drop off some brownies.
"It was a rough day and I had nothing to lose but I was quite nervous – I hate stuff like that and I didn't want to annoy him.
"He loves young entrepreneurs and positivity so I asked him for a quick video to put on social media, and he said to me 'give me your phone, and I will give you the best sales pitch you've ever seen'.
"He did it and told me to tag him, so I did."
In the video, Mr Skinner described the Oreo Brownie as "the absolute governor" before going on to say that they were "different class" and "the best brownies I have ever had in my life".
The video has since been posted on Bwownies' social sites and has been shared by Mr Skinner on his channels, with his Instagram page having 350,000 followers.
Mr Waldock added: "It's great, loads of people have been commenting and I have received more orders since, and it is just crazy that many people seeing the video.
"It just shows you the power of social media and that is exactly why I asked him, because the worst case is he doesn't do it, but the best case is what happened, and 300,000 people see your product.
"He was amazing and it put a massive smile on my face – it reassured me that I'm on the right track."
