An artist from near Bungay has won the prestigious Sculpture Award at the London Art Biennale.
Mark Purllant was selected along with 400 artists from over 80 countries to exhibit at the event held at the Chelsea Old Town Hall in London.
Mr Purllant's sculpture ‘Freedom - Oil Painting in Sculpture’ was selected as the overall winner in the sculpture category.
The sculpture highlights Mr Purllant's philosophies of innovation and creativity through skill acquisition, bringing together different materials and processes.
The award comes soon after being selected for the International Aesthetica Art Prize - Futures 125 in 2022, where he was published along with nine other sculptors from around the world.
Mr Purllant is currently exhibiting sculptures in Woodbridge and Manchester, and regularly exhibits paintings drawings and sculptures locally.
He also sells internationally having recently completed commissions for private collectors in Singapore, New York, Madrid and South Africa.
