Part of a former fruit farm could become home to new business units in plans submitted to a council.
Proposals for the new units at Hemingstone Fruit Farm, west of Main Road in Hemingstone, were put to Mid Suffolk District Council last week.
The site, which currently consists of access and parking, a former planting area of unkempt arable land and an area of natural unmaintained land, is south of already-exisiting office and business units.
The new plans seek to build Class E business units, along with an eight-space cycle shelter, parking spaces, bin storage and a staff picnic area.
Access to the wider site already exists via Main Road, and circulation through the site to the proposed new area of units would be via the exisiting access drive and turning head.
A statement to Mid Suffolk District Council on behalf of the applicant said: "The speed with which the existing, newly created E(g) units at Hemingstone Fruit Farm have been let, and the level of interest that they generated is testament to the clear and obvious need for such small scale business units in this location."
