The reason why a man from Martlesham died suddenly last year is still unknown, an inquest heard.
Shane Little, 36, was taken unwell in the early hours of the morning of Saturday, September 3 last year.
Suffolk Coroners' Court in Ipswich heard that he had a fever and had been vomiting.
Last year, Mr Little’s father, Robert Little, told the Ipswich Star that his son was previously fit and well.
He had gone to work as usual the day before at a kennel near Easton, where he was about to start his “dream job” as a manager.
Robert Little said that his son’s partner took him to the A&E department at Ipswich Hospital on Saturday morning. He was discharged at about 11am.
However, Mr Little remained unwell at home.
Suffolk Coroners' Court heard that his partner heard him collapse during the night, and ran downstairs to find him on the floor. She dialled 999, and carried out CPR as instructed by the operator.
However, paramedics were unable to save Mr Little, and he died in the early hours of Sunday, September 4.
Assistant coroner Peter Taheri said that Mr Little’s death is currently “unexplained”.
He adjourned the inquest until October 11 this year, in order for a case review to be carried out.
