Two people have been taken to hospital after the air ambulance was called to a serious crash just outside Sudbury.
Emergency services were called to the A134 Long Melford bypass at about 2pm on Monday.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said the crash involved a lorry and a van.
An East of England Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the East Anglian Air Ambulance, two ambulances and a rapid response vehicle were sent to the scene.
Two people were taken to West Suffolk Hospital for further care.
Drivers were being asked to avoid the area.
