The owners of a café in the Suffolk countryside have bid farewell after two years.
The Milk Shed Café was opened in Sproughton in 2021 by Clare and Scott Forest.
Serving a range of Scandinavian cuisines, the café proved popular with diners itching to try the crispy and buttery Nordic waffles, mackerel and poached eggs on sourdough, Smørrebrød (a traditional open sandwich), Skagenröra (prawn salad), meatballs and herrings.
On Sunday, August 13, they locked the doors for the final time before the new owners move in this week.
The couple posted the news on Instagram.
They said in the post: "With a break clause in our lease prompting us to decide whether to continue for another 2.5 years, we have sold the business to lovely new owners who will continue to grow the Milk Shed Café.
"Our last day is Sunday 13 August and the new owners will open up the following week – the exact date to be confirmed soon."
New owners Lucy and Matt will reopen the café soon.
