A Suffolk pub which has been closed for more than four years has been sold.
The Greyhound, in Bury St Edmunds, has been closed since 2019 and has now been purchased.
Owner Greene King, based in the west Suffolk town, put it up for sale when they could not find anyone to run it last year.
A new owner was found this year and the sale of the Eastgate Street pub is complete.
A Greene King spokesman said: “After putting The Greyhound up for sale in 2022 a buyer was found earlier this year and a sale has now been completed.
"It’s always a difficult decision to sell a pub, particularly in our hometown, but The Greyhound closed before the Covid-19 pandemic following the departure of its tenant and sadly, despite our best efforts, it has not been possible to reopen the pub since.
"While we no longer own The Greyhound, we remain extremely proud of the 15 other pubs in the town where we continue to serve our Bury St Edmunds community.”
