The trial of a 33-year-old lorry driver accused of causing the death of a motorcyclist on the A14 in Suffolk is due to get underway next week.
Sergejs Baikovs, of Tattersall Road, Boston, has denied causing the death of 61-year-old Maurice Brame death by dangerous driving following a collision between his lorry and Mr Brame’s motorcycle on the A14 between Sproughton and the Copdock interchange on September 21 last year.
His five day trial is scheduled to get underway next week.
At a pre-trial review on Thursday, Judge Martyn Levett directed that a further case management should take place on Friday.
Baikovs is on bail.
Police were called to the scene of the crash shortly after 6am on Wednesday, September 21.
Ambulance and Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service crews were also in attendance, but Mr Brame died at the scene.
In a tribute following his death, Mr Brame's family said he had been heading to work at GMA Haulage, where he had worked for 27 years, on the day of the collision.
