A Suffolk road is closed and one person is seriously injured after a crash involving a car and a lorry. 

Police, fire and ambulance crews were alerted to the collision on the B1077 in Framsden at about 3.30pm on Monday. 

A spokesperson for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said appliances from Ipswich East and Princes Street were called to assist with the removal of a person. 

The car has crashed into a ditch, according to a Suffolk police spokeswoman.

They added that one person is being treated for serious injuries. 

Drivers are advised to avoid the area, with the road closed from the junction with Chapel Hill and Mill Hill.
