An inquest has opened into the death of a man who died following a serious collision on a north Suffolk road last year.
Giles Burfield, 39, was driving his van along the B1106 towards Elveden, near the A11 junction, on February 10 last year when he became involved in a crash with an Audi TT.
The driver of the Audi, a woman in her twenties, was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.
However, Mr Burfield sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.
An inquest into his death was opened on Friday but Suffolk’s Senior Coroner, Nigel Parsley.
A full inquest has been adjourned until December 19, as the police investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
