A 34-year-old man has been jailed for dealing class A drugs in a Suffolk town.

Tobias Stevens, of Howard de Walden Way in Newmarket, was sentenced to 32 months in prison at Ipswich Crown Court on Tuesday.

He pleaded guilty to being concerned in supplying class A drugs between January 27 and February 23 this year.

Officers carried out a drugs raid at his home on February 27 and established he had been issuing bulk text messages between January and February.

Detective Sergeant Sarah Wilkins said: “This sentence follows a thorough investigation that led to a guilty plea from Stevens.

"Drug dealing has a hugely detrimental impact on our local communities and can have devastating effects on people’s lives.

"Suffolk Constabulary remains committed to tackling and dismantling all of those involved in drug supply.”
