A dad has described the moment a brick dropped onto his windscreen as he drove along the A14 with his baby son onboard.

The 25-year-old man was in his BMW with his girlfriend and six-month-old baby on Sunday when the incident occurred, leaving them "shocked and terrified" by the ordeal.

Suffolk police has launched an appeal following the incident which occurred at around 1.15pm on Sunday, July 23.

Mr Hubert, the owner of the BMW, told this paper: "I was with my girlfriend and my six-month-old baby boy.

"We were shocked and terrified.

"Luckily I didn't swerve and pulled off at the next junction.

"If the brick had come through the window then there could have been a potential crash."

The car was driving under the bridge at the junction with the A12 from Copdock towards Pinewood when the brick was thrown.

The driver shared these images of the damage to his car.
