The Times has released its list of the top 50 best beaches in the UK for 2023 - and two in Suffolk have made the cut.

Felixstowe and Dunwich have been named as two of the best beaches in the UK by the national newspaper.

Felixstowe boasts a sandy beach that stretches for three miles along the coastline.

The beachfront has experienced some regeneration in recent years, with nearly 30 new beach huts available to purchase by Felixstowe seafront.

It has also had £1 million worth of development over the past two years, which includes rentable accessible beach pods, a climbing wall, and new toilets and changing facilities.

Dunwich has also made the list.

As one of the only beaches in the UK with voluntary paid parking, this beach is one of the friendliest to your bank account.

While a shingle beach, this is a quieter alternative to nearby Dunwich Heath, is dog-friendly and has access to pubs and fish and chips shops.
