A man has been charged with arson following a fire at a flat in Sudbury.
Fire crews were called to the blaze at a property in Minden Road at about 8am on Sunday.
Other residents in the building were evacuated and the flat believed to have been targeted was unoccupied at the time of the incident.
Officers arrested a 42-year-old man on Sunday afternoon where he was questioned in relation to the suspected arson.
Aaron Hubbard, of Minden Road, Sudbury, has been remanded in custody and charged with arson with intent to endanger human life.
He is due to appear before Suffolk Magistrates' Court in Ipswich on Tuesday.
