Signs for a new micropub have gone up in a Suffolk town.
A Suffolk-based family brewery has applied to turn the former Bazaar shop in Gainsborough Street in Sudbury into a traditional old English watering hole.
A licensing application for the new micropub was submitted to Babergh District Council in March.
The space, which will be called Courtyard Tap, has already been granted permission to change the colour of the building.
Plans submitted to Babergh District Council show there will be a small bar area on the ground floor with access to the garden as well a store room.
On the first floor there will be a seating area.
If approved, the pub will be open between 12pm and 11pm between Monday and Saturday and then 12pm to 9pm on Sunday.
The application has stated that the business attracts a "fairly limited and niche customer base", tending to be over 40 year olds, and it is not a "high-turnover establishment".
However, planning documents will provide a very "location-appropriate public house for this area of Sudbury".
