An inquest has opened into the death of a man who was killed following a crash on the A140 last November.
Henry John Smith, 32, from Stutton, was travelling northbound down Brockford Street shortly after 10pm on November 28, when his silver Ford Galaxy overturned onto its roof.
The coroner’s court heard that Mr Smith was “thrown” from the vehicle when it was struck by a lorry.
He was found some 10 metres from the scene of the crash.
Police and paramedics were called and CPR commenced.
Mr Smith died from his injuries in the early hours of November 29.
The hearing was adjourned until September 30.
