A popular Sudbury bakery has been saved just days after it was forced to close down.
Weston's Bakery in Gaol Lane closed down on Saturday after its owners were involved in a serious crash.
Owners Pat and Chris Weston were taken to hospital following the crash between Sudbury and Halstead on Friday.
In an emotional post, they said that the business would cease trading on Saturday.
However, another independent business in the town has agreed to save the business and keep on its staff.
Toast who recently opened a cafe in the town will take over the bakery from today.
In a post on Facebook, Toast said: "On July 1 sadly Weston's Bakery ceased trading.
"However, between July 2 and 4 Toast negotiated and agreed a deal with Weston's to re-employ the staff and take control of the premises.
"Toast is incredibly excited to say we will be opening on July 5.
"We will do our very best to continue to serve the town and community with a traditional artisan bakery.
"All we ask is for a little patience whilst we find our feet!"
