A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after the air ambulance was called to an incident on the A14 near Stowmarket.
Both the eastbound and westbound carriageways were closed by officers between junction 49 for Tot Hill and junction 50 for Stowmarket at about 4.20pm today (June 29).
A spokesman for National Highways East said Suffolk police are leading on the incident.

He added there are long delays in both directions.
Police have confirmed an air ambulance has been called to the incident.
A spokesman for Suffolk Constabulary has confirmed the road has now reopened, and a man has been taken to hospital.
"The A14 has now opened between junctions 49 and 50 near Stowmarket. The B1115 is also open," they said in a statement.
"This follows an incident where police and air ambulance attended. A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries"
The B1115 was also closed between Mortimer Road and Thorney Green Road.
A diversion route was in place.
