A closure which caused chaos for drivers on the A12 heading to Suffolk has been postponed this weekend.
There were delays of more than 90 minutes on the northbound carriageway near Marks Tey, in Essex, after National Highways closed the road to carry out improvements.
A full closure was implemented from Friday evening until 5am on Monday morning - and was the first of six planned until the middle of August.
However, National Highways has confirmed the closure beween junction 25 and 26 will not take place this weekend.
"This was the second of six weekend closures scheduled until mid-August, however we’ve listened to customer feedback and will be reviewing our roadworks following the significant traffic congestion road users experienced last weekend," a spokesperson said.
"We’re sorry for the inconvenience caused."
