A former Laura Ashley store in a Suffolk town has been made available for rent for £3,542 a month.
The womenswear and homewares outlet closed at The Thoroughfare in Woodbridge on March 23, 2020, and the property has now been put on the market through online property portal Rightmove.

The Woodbridge outlet was one of 70 Laura Ashley stores to close across the UK due to declining sales, which fell by 11% in 2019, while the Covid pandemic also had a significant impact on the firm.
A new restaurant had been due to move into the former Laura Ashley premises in June 2021.

Patricia Sharman and Co. Catering had secured planning permission to convert the use of the retail space to a restaurant, but the move fell through after the caterers were unable to come to an agreement with the property's agents Whybrow and Dodds.
At the time, Woodbridge Town Council had outlined its opposition to the scheme, believing the change of use would be "injurious" to neighbours in the town centre, while a nearby Specsavers opticians raised fears over the impact of the restaurant on its clinic room.
