Thunderstorms are set to hit parts of Suffolk this morning.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning covering much of the county.

It is in place until 10.30am today (June 20).

It follows a warning on Sunday for thunderstorms covering much of the country.

The eastern coastal regions look likely to escape the downpours whereas central and western areas are expected to face torrential rain and potentially lightning strikes.

Flash flooding could occur and disruption to travel is likely, the Met Office has said.
