A fish and chip shop on the Suffolk coastline has been named by BBC GoodFood as one of the best in the UK.
Aldeburgh Fish and Chip Shop and The Golden Galleon feature in the guide, which outlines the 16 best places to buy fish and chips.
The family-run business has been popular from the start.
In the years following 1967, when the Aldeburgh Fish and Chip Shop first opened, the Cooney family had to expand into their own living quarters in order to cope with demand.
The Golden Galleon subsequently opened in 1997, and The Upper Deck in 2000.
Peter Cooney was 11 years old when his parents bought the shop. He is still frying today, over 50 years later.
Whilst the frying technology has been updated, the recipe remains the same as it was when the shop first opened in 1967.
Fish from the East Coast is fried alongside local potatoes for the freshest taste.
The family-run business also features in Harden's restaurant guide and received a certificate of excellence from Tripadvisor in 2016.
