Communities across Suffolk are urged to be vigilant after a further break in at a church in the county. 

Police are appealing for witnesses after a Mendlesham Priest Chair was stolen from St Peter's Church in The Street in Cransford, near Framlingham. 

The incident took place between 8am on Friday, June 9 and the evening of Saturday, June 10. 

A spokesperson for Suffolk police said: "Local communities are urged to be vigilant of any suspicious activity around churches and report anything of concern to police."

It is the latest break in to happen at a Suffolk church.

A lectern was stolen from a church in Hemingstone in January, while thieves stole £1,000 of silver items from St Mary's at the Elm Church in Ipswich.
