The trial of a 36-year-old man accused of attempted murder and a firearm offence after a man was shot in the leg in Brandon has got underway.
Before Ipswich Crown Court on Tuesday (June13) was Jason Anderson, of Riverside Way, Brandon.
He has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder, attempted grievous bodily harm with intent and possessing a shotgun with intent to cause fear of violence on December 12 last year.
Police were called to a property in the High Street in Brandon after a man in his 40s called police and reported he had been shot in the leg with what was thought to have been a shotgun.
He suffered a minor injury and didn’t need hospital treatment.
A jury was sworn in on Tuesday (June 13) and the prosecution is expected to start calling evidence on Wednesday (June 14).
