Pictures showing a fire which destroyed a car on the outskirts of a Suffolk town have been revealed. 

Firefighters were alerted to the blaze on the A143 near Haverhill at about 3.30pm on Sunday. 

The road was closed in both directions while crews put out the flames.

In a post on social media, Haverhill police said the road reopened at around 7.10pm.
