A popular Suffolk community festival is calling for the public's support to help save the event after having to cancel this year due to funding streams 'drying up'.
The organisers of Sax Community Fest have launched an online questionnaire as they consider how to run the event in the future, which offers a range of tribute acts, entertainment and activities for locals.

Among questions, the organisers also ask if, as a last resort, the respondent would be willing to pay a daily entrance fee, within a range of £0-£5, up to £25-£30, as well as if they feel the event should remain free.
The survey also asks if people attended the previous event in July 2022 and how they rated it and whether they would like the festival to return in 2024.
Prior to 2022, the community event had been absent from the town's social calendar for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Last year's show proceeded with the help of a £6,000 grant from the National Lottery Community Fund, but this year's funding had gone to 'other more urgent economic causes'.
In April, festival director Terry Barrow told the EADT: "I have to report that, despite strenuous efforts, we have failed to get sufficient funding to produce a festival for this year.
"In this current sorry economic climate, funding - that we usually have been able to successfully bid for - has gone to other more urgent economic causes.

"Our funding streams have certainly dried up this year and our local grants have been cut back.
"With the current cost of living crisis, we are struggling with the rising costs of the infrastructure putting on the scale of the event that the community have come to enjoy over the years."
