The old Felixstowe Royal British Legion (RBL) club in Mill Lane is set to be demolished to make way for 30 new homes.

The club closed at the site, known as Goyfield House, in 2020 due to declining membership after having operated for 90 years.
The RBL asked East Suffolk Council if the property could be demolished to avoid nuisance to residents and there had been a number of break-ins, damage and graffiti since the premises became empty.

An RBL spokesperson said: “The property is still on the market and while we are speaking to parties, there was no definitive proposal at this stage.
"The ongoing process is being conducted in accordance with the Charities Act legislation.”
