A new community pantry has opened in a Suffolk town to provide free food for residents and help reduce food waste.
The Reydon and Southwold community pantry was opened at Reydon Village Hall on Friday to provide food near its 'best before' date that would otherwise be thrown away.
The food is donated by supermarkets, such as Tesco and Co-Op, as well as local stores including Barbrook and Boyden.

The aim of the initiative is to help those who are struggling with the cost-of-living and reduce the amount of food that is wasted unnecessarily.
Southwold mayor Simon Flunder and Pam Cyprien, chair of Reydon Parish Council, were present for the opening.
Pam said: "We have been overwhelmed by the response to the community pantry opening.
