In a statement, a representative for Tina Turner said: “Tina Turner, the ‘Queen of Rock’n Roll’ has died peacefully today at the age of 83 after a long illness in her home in Kusnacht near Zurich, Switzerland."
In 1990, Tina Turner became the first musician to perform at Portman Road, a historic moment for the town.

The ground was transformed and thousands of fans turned out to see one of the world's biggest stars perform some of her most iconic songs.
She blew away the audience with a 19 song set list packed with hits like Proud Mary, What's Love Got To Do With It, The Best and Let's Stay Together.
