A warning has been issued by a Suffolk school for its pupils to take extra care after a student was allegedly approached by two men in a car while walking home from school. 

The incident happened after school in Felixstowe on Monday. 

A statement sent out by Felixstowe School reads: "The school has been notified of an incident where two adult males in a car have approached a student while walking home from school. 

"No students were hurt but the incident has been referred to the police. 

"To ensure pupil safety will be delivering a message this afternoon to all of our pupils about how to remain safe whilst out in public and what to do if they feel they are at risk of harm. 

"Should your child be worried, concerned or wanting to talk please direct them to their tutor or any member of the safeguarding team."

Suffolk police has been approached for a comment.
