The opening date for a new ice cream parlour in a Suffolk village has been announced.
Helen Clutterham who owns Ivy and Bond Tearoom in Long Melford announced in March her plans to take over the building next door to open an ice cream parlour and traditional sweet shop.
Mrs Clutterham and her three daughters opened Ivy and Bond in January in memory of her husband Paul who died after a battle with cancer.
The new ice cream parlour and sweet shop will open on Monday May 29 between 11am and 4pm.
The shop will be open everyday over half-term and then after that it will be open between 11am and 4pm from Thursdays to Sundays.
There will be a selection of traditional sweets, chocolate, fudge and Suffolk Meadow ice cream.
Speaking previously about the opening Mrs Clutterham said: "If you look at somewhere like Lavenham they have two ice cream parlours and I think in a place like Long Melford it is something that will work very well especially in the summer."
