Banks are disappearing from Suffolk's high streets - but is one closing down near you?
More than 5,000 have shut across the UK since 2015, with more scheduled to close their doors.
One Suffolk town will be left with no bank at all after Barclays announced it would close its Mildenhall branch later this year.
A Suffolk Citizens Advice chief is now calling for banks to create shared hubs in town centres amid fears the older generation are being 'fincancially excluded' by the bank closures.
Community leaders have described the recent spate of bank closure announcements as "very sad" for town centres.
The following bank branches will be closing later this year:
Barclays
- Newmarket, June 9
- Mildenhall, June 14
- Sudbury, July 6
HSBC
- Sudbury, July 6
- Beccles, June 26
