Concerns have been raised a major Suffolk seaside regeneration project will not be completed in time for its target date of this summer.
Residents in Felixstowe have posted on social media about the situation with the Seashore Village - part of the regeneration of the town's South Seafront - with many questioning whether the work will be completed on schedule.

One poster on a Felixstowe Facebook group said: "Anybody know of any update on the completion of the Beach Village?
"The groundwork’s on the other side of Ocean Boulevard seem to be taking ages, it’s taken months just to lay the hardcore. Housing estates go up quicker. Summers coming and it looks a mess. Approaching six months now."
Another said he expected the village to have been operational by now, but he "hardly sees anyone there".

An East Suffolk Council sign on green fencing on the promenade-side of the village reads: "Beach village now under construction. Due to complete mid-2023."
The Seashore Village is due to feature 27 traditional-style beach huts, provided by the council, as well as a single-storey accessible hut, built from self-insulating panels and capable of being split into smaller rooms or pods for hire.
The site between the road and prom is being re-landscaped, with ramp access installed from Sea Road and the prom, where new fully accessible toilets will also be added and open year-round.

The ‘Trim Trail’ will be revamped as part of a new activity park nearby, set to include a climbing wall, concrete table tennis tables, pétanque piste, accessible picnic benches, chess tables and outdoor space for workouts.
The creation of the public spaces will be funded by the sale of the huts.
An East Suffolk Council spokesperson said: “We are working to an agreed programme of construction at the Seashore Village site.
“There may, of course, be instances where the programme requires revision due to the availability of materials, for example, but we are hopeful that the project will be complete within the summer holiday period.”
