A Waitrose supermarket will be renovated later this year with a new café seating area and changes to the car park planned.
Plans for the refurb to the Sudbury store were given the go ahead last year by Babergh District Council.
On Thursday, Firstplan, who are working on behalf of Waitrose submitted an application to the council which requested a change in working hours.
The plans that were approved in July last year stated that construction work would be carried out between 8am and 6pm on weekdays, and 9am to 1pm on Saturday, with no work to be carried out on Sundays.
In the latest application the company has requested that work is carried out from 8am to 10pm Monday to Saturday and 8am to 11pm on Sunday.
While the works is carried out the roof mounted equipment will be replaced, alterations to car parking spaces, pavement extension, drop kerbs to boundary and pedestrian walkways and crossings will be completed.
There will also be a new café seating area with fixed bollards and planters as well as the installation of double doors and canopy.
Work is set to start on September 10 and completed by November 17.
It is not yet clear if the store will be closed during this time.
Waitrose has been approached for a comment.
