A landscape equipment retailer and maintenance firm with multiple shops in the UK has applied to open a new premises in a Suffolk village.
Tuckwells, a firm that has had a presence in the East of England since 1954, is seeking to open a new shop in Wickham Market.
The company has applied to East Suffolk Council for a change of land use from manufacturing to retail on land next to Roland Plastics Ltd.
Situated just off the High Street, Roland Plastics Ltd has been based in Wickham Market since the 1950s.
If Tuckwells plans are approved, customers will be able to buy anything from machinery for agriculture to tools and service kits.
The firm is seeking permission to open from Monday to Friday, trading between the hours of 8am and 5.30pm.
The planning application also states there will be three full-time staff based at the site with at least one additional member of staff working from the premises too.
Car parking will also be available, comprising nine bays in front of the shop, with deliveries from John Deere planned to take place three times a week.
