Suffolk steam fans had a rare treat on Sunday when a round-Britain rail tour visited Felixstowe and Trimley on its way back to London.
The Great Britain XV railtour started on Saturday, April 15, and visited Bristol, North Wales and Scotland on an eight-day tour around the country.
It delighted crowds as it passed through Trimley station at approximately 11:50am, and arrived at Felixstowe just before midday.
On Sunday the final leg ran from Kings Lynn in Norfolk to Liverpool Street through Ely, Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich and a run down the Felixstowe branch.
The LMS-built Black Five locomotive at the head of the train is a regular main-line performer.
It was one of a number of locomotives during the trip - and was ideal for the East Anglian section because it is type known for its versatility and ability to run on almost any track.
The Great Britain tour runs every year on different routes around the country.
This year tickets cost between £2,700 and £3,600 for a trip which took passengers to Plymonth, Bristol, Llandudno, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Blackpool, Scarborough and Kings Lynn on a trip of a lifetime over some of Britain's most scenic routes.
