A Trimley St Martin pre-school is hoping that former pupils will return to help celebrate its 20th birthday.
Twinkletoes pre-school, which runs out of the church hall at Trimley Methodist Church, first opened its doors in September 2003.
With pupils aged between two and five years, its oldest former pupils will now be in their mid-20s.
Twinkletoes’ owner, Sarah Turner, said that she is hoping that some of the 'children’ who used to attend will come along to a special early birthday party planned for Saturday, July 15.
“We’d love to hear how they’re getting on, and what they’ve done with their lives,” explained Mrs Turner, who also owns Kirton Kites village pre-school.
“When our children leave us, we put on a graduation ceremony. We always ask them what they’d like to do when they grow up. We make a little board, which says ‘I want to be a fireman’, or a teacher, or whatever they’d like to be.
“We take a picture of them, and send it to their parents. So, it will be interesting to see what they actually have done with their lives.”
Mrs Turner organised a similar party in 2013 for the playgroup’s 10th anniversary, and was delighted that many former students visited. She said they enjoyed the chance to reminisce and look through old photographs taken at Twinkletoes over the years.
This will be a particularly poignant event for Mrs Turner, as she will be retiring at the end of this year, and so this will be her final chance to be reunited with old students.
Kirton Kites pre-school celebrated its first birthday earlier this month, with a party complete with cake, party games and a disco.
