A consultation has begun over whether the Post Office should relocate one of its village branches.
The Post Office is proposing to rehome its Castle Hedingham branch to a new location within the village.
The change would see the Post Office move to the Village Shop in St James Street.
It would continue to be run by the existing postmaster at the community-run shop.
The lease at the current premises is due to expire and to safeguard the service for the village the Post Office has proposed to move to the nearby location which is in the same road.
The opening hours would remain as Monday to Friday 9am - 1pm and the same products and services would be available.
Consultation is now open with the opportunity to give feedback on the move and access into and within the store will close on May 30.
