Figures released this week have revealed that 43 officers from the Suffolk Constabulary are under investigation due to racism or sexual misconduct.
Suffolk has more officers under investigation than Norfolk, with just 35 officers from Norfolk Constabulary, compared to Suffolk's 43, a Freedom of Information request has found.
In the county, five officers are currently on restricted duties whilst under investigation for sexual misconduct, while two are currently on restricted duties for racism.
13 Suffolk officers are currently under investigation for sexual misconduct and are awaiting results.
30 are currently under investigation for racism and also waiting for results.
These figures are correct as of January 17, 2023.
Tim Passmore, Suffolk Police and Crime Commissioner said: "Obviously any investigations of this nature do give cause for concern from a personal perspective.
"Following discussions, extensive conversations over the months and years with the Chief Constable, I want to make it absolutely crystal clear, this sort of prejudiced, intolerant, bigoted behaviour is never acceptable in Suffolk and I know the Chief Constable and I share that view.
"Anybody who's suffered from this sort of behaviour must have complete confidence that they can report it to their senior officers and it will be dealt with in a suitably or appropriately strong manner.
"We do take this very seriously, and this sort of behaviour is not tolerated and it is dealt with quickly and severely."
Deputy Chief Constable of Suffolk Constabulary Rob Jones said: "We have two officers who are facing conduct cases around racism, while 28 officers have had public complaints filed against them.
"We look carefully at all allegations of conduct and complaint which involves behaviour on the ground of race or misogyny.
"We do have a number of officers who are suspended for those kind of offences at the moment while we investigate and when we need to, we do arrest.
"Police officers are held to account the same standard as the public and if there's criminal allegations, then the likelihood is there will be arrests and they'll be thoroughly investigated."
