Planning permission is being sought for an extension to a Grade II listed building near Haverhill as well as converting the existing garage into additional accommodation.
The Old Post Office in Great Wratting has applied to West Suffolk Council to extend the building.
The cottage was saved by the applicant in the 1980's when it was set for demolition.
The new application seeks permission to provide two extensions to the Grade II listed building, making an extension to the family room.

The existing garage, which has room for two cars will be changed to an annexe for an elderly relative to live in, with three extra car parking spaces to be created, two for the main house, and one for the annexe.
The garage conversion will also require an extension to form a new bedroom and ensuite bathroom.
The building was first listed in 1974.
The main house has had various extensions since its initial renovation in the 1980s and each has been created to look similar to the rest of the building.
