The A14 had to be closed in both directions after a crash near Bury St Edmunds.
Police were called to the crash in the early hours of this morning (April 18).
National Highways tweeted about the crash and said: "The A14 is closed in both directions between junction 42 and 43 near Bury St Edmunds due to a collision."
Traffic was being diverted while police dealt with the incident.
According to the AA Traffic Map one lane is open on both carriageways but there are still lengthy delays in the area.
The extent of any injuries is not yet known.
Suffolk police has been approached for comment.
