An 18-year-old has been charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed.
Officers were called to Magdalen Street in Colchester at about 11pm on Friday, March 31 following reports that a man had suffered stab wounds.
He was taken to hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.
Police have made four arrests in connection with the assault and already charged Joseph Little, 18, of St Marys Close, Panfield, with attempted murder, possession of an offensive weapon in a public space, possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, criminal damage and affray.
On Friday, officers charged another man with attempted murder.
Zak Henry, 18 of Maple Court, Cambridge, has been charged with attempted murder.
He will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates Court today (April 8).
Two others arrested have been bailed pending further investigation.
