Work has started to reposition beach huts on a Suffolk seafront promenade that were displaced during recent 60mph winds and high tides.
In mid-March, the county was hit by stormy weather, which shifted the huts on Felixstowe promenade and threw beach material onto the public walkway.
The prom was covered in sand and shingle four inches deep in places, but the debris has since been swept away and now East Suffolk Council's contractors Norse have begun reinstating the huts at West End and Pier South.

Other huts that spend the winter on the promenade are being moved back on to the beach as preparations begin for Easter and the start of the busy summer season.
The annual Easter fun fair has also arrived in town and is currently occupying a site in Sea Road, close to the town's leisure centre.
Last year, tourist attractions enjoyed a bumper Easter, spurred on by unseasonaly high temperatures of nearly 20C.

An East Suffolk Council spokesperson said: “Alongside the pre-scheduled seasonal hut moves which occur this time of year, we’ve been able to begin the repositioning of a number of beach huts displaced as a result of recent high tides and stormy weather, which also led to the Prom at Felixstowe suffering some damage and being covered in beach material.
“The reinstatement of the huts is being carried out by our partners, East Suffolk Norse, and we’re continuing to work with them to arrange the reactive work following the displacement event.

“Specialist machinery and preparatory works all need to be aligned to address the specific areas impacted.
“We hope to facilitate the reinstatement of the remaining displaced huts by the end of the month and following some further required beach levelling work.”
