A television series filmed in Suffolk was aired to millions of households around the country this weekend - and a second series is in the works.
Magpie Murders was filmed in Suffolk in 2021 and written by Anthony Horowitz.
In February 2022, the six-part murder-mystery arrived on streaming service Britbox but was picked up by the BBC in January.
Film crews were first spotted in Kersey in April 2021, with local residents noticing a few changes they had made to the town.
Previously, the author had told this newspaper that Magpie Murders was based in Suffolk.
On Saturday at 9.25pm, the first episode of the show was broadcast on BBC One.
Based on Anthony Horowitz's bestselling novel of the same name, the series follows editor Susan Ryeland, played by Leslie Manville, whose life changes once she receives an unfinished manuscript.
The Bell Inn, in Kersey, was renamed The Queens Arms for filming and Ipswich was used as a double for London as part of filming for the series.
A second series, titled Moonflower Murders, is set to be filmed later in 2023 thanks to the show's success.
The full series is available on BBC iPlayer.
