The A14 has reopened near the Orwell Bridge after a three-vehicle crash.
Police were called to the westbound carriageway at the turning for Wherstead, near Ipswich, shortly before 2pm on Thursday after a collision involving two cars and a van.
A spokesperson for Suffolk police said the central reservation had been damaged.
There were three miles of queues on the westbound carriageway, while one lane of the eastbound carriageway was shut.
In a post on Twitter, National Highways said both sides of the A14 have reopened, although delays of around 30 minutes remain westbound.
It is believed nobody was injured in the crash.
