As Princess Anne visits Suffolk, her Royal Highness visited Adnams Brewery in Southwold today to mark the business' latest milestone.

Here we take a look back through our archives at the last 150 years of Suffolk's own brewery.

George and Ernest Adnams bought the Sole Bay Brewery in 1872, marking a century and a half last year.

Their first store opened at the back of the Crown Hotel in Southwold in 1987.

Today, Adnams has 34 partner pubs in Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex, and 13 stores.
