A Suffolk festival has been named the best Festival of the Year in the region.
Not only was Weird and Wonderful Wood at Haughley Park voted the best festival in Suffolk but was also recognised as the best festival for the whole of East Anglia in 2022.
The polls were part of the East Anglian Festival Network's (EAFN) annual East Anglian Festivals of the Year Awards.
Festival organisers were presented with their award trophies by EAFN founder Mike Wilson on Saturday, March 25.
The trophies were repurposed broken microphones made by The Centre in Bury St Edmunds, a community workshop for additional needs.
As part of the awards, thousands of festival-goers in East Anglia voted for their favourite festivals, fairs and fun days.
There were more than 700 events to choose from in Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk, and more than a third of those listed received votes.
Other winners were Buckfest Music Festival (Cambridgeshire), CozFest (Essex) and Legends Of Rock Yarmageddon 10 (Norfolk).
The 2022 event at Haughley Park, was held in May, and featured wood crafts, music and local food.
It attracted a record number of around 5,000 visitors on both days.
Founder of the awards Mike Wilson said: “Thank you to the thousands of festival goers that voted this year and congratulations to everyone.
"The awards are an annual thank you to the people that put on all these amazing events across our region. They provide so much fun, fulfilment and funds for our communities, charities and the local economy."
This year's Weird and Wonderful Wood festival takes place on the weekend of May 13 and 14.
