The owners of three Suffolk pubs are celebrating after being named the best in the UK at a prestigious national awards ceremony.
The Mason Arms in Bury St Edmunds, The Kings Arms in Haughley and The Royal Exchange were all crowned winners of their respective categories at the awards ceremony last night.
Sean Driscoll, owner of The Masons Arms, said: “As a pub that really prides itself on the quality and selection of its beer, we are delighted to have won Beer Pub of the Year at The Night of Excellence Awards.
"I would like to thank my team who do such a great job running the pub including looking after our incredible range of real ales to ensure they are perfectly conditioned.”
Grant Newland and Lucy Jones, owners of The Kings Arms, said: “We are so proud to have won Food Pub of the Year at the Night of Excellence Awards.
"The award really cements our reputation as one of the top pubs to eat at in Suffolk and East Anglia as a whole.”
Brian and Dionne Walford, owners of The Royal Exchange, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have won Sports Pubs of the Year at the Night of Excellence Awards.
"We really pride ourselves on providing an incredible sporting experience at the pub so winning this award is extra special.
"As the home of live sport in Haverhill, we cannot wait to welcome more guests into The Royal Exchange this year for all the major sporting events we have to look forward to.”
